Follow these steps to prepare your Garlic Shrimp Pasta:
1. Cook the Pasta
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the spaghetti until al dente.
- Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water before draining.
- Add a little oil, salt, and fresh herbs to the water for added flavor.
- Drain and set the pasta aside.
2. Prepare the Shrimp
- Rinse the shrimp thoroughly and pat them dry.
3. Sauté the Shrimp
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
- Add the shrimp and cook until they begin to turn pink and curl slightly.
4. Add Garlic and Seasoning
- Stir in the minced garlic once the shrimp are partially cooked.
- Continue cooking until the shrimp are fully pink and curled.
5. Combine with Pasta
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet.
- Season with Italian seasoning, black pepper, red pepper flakes, salt, and herbs.
- Gradually pour in some reserved pasta water (start with about ¼ cup) until the sauce reaches your preferred consistency.
6. Mix and Serve
- Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Serve hot and enjoy your flavorful Garlic Shrimp Pasta.
